The mission of Stories and More is to promote Literacy, Language and Self Esteem through Creative Thinking, Reading, and the Arts.
Storytelling for preschool and elementary
Natalee will present educational entertainment through storytelling with side-kick puppets. Each storytelling session is tailored to the uniqueness of each group.
Since 1986, the family of puppets has grown to include a wide assortment of fun and engaging animals. Fred Frog and Cinnamon Bear continue to be the principal personalities to visit between stories; the kids love these sidekick puppets.
Natalee’s collection of 100 stories include: Southwest Tales, General Folk Tales, Tall Tales, Holiday Tales, Stories of Inspiration, True Stories, and Fairy Tales.

Workshops for all ages
Natalee offers an artist-in-residence program of ongoing curriculum for students. Topics for the classroom are particularly tapered for pre-school to primary ages. Your students will enjoy the following ongoing curriculum activities organized into nine sections*:
- Introduction by demonstration (Interactive Storytelling with various ‘side kick’ puppets)
- Storytelling & Puppet techniques
- Storytelling with emphasis on settings
- Storytelling and Story Parts (Beginning, Middle, End)
- Storytelling and Voice Discovery
- Rhymes & Puppets
- Rhymes and Dramatizing
- Storytelling Review
- Creating Stories
*Classes may vary with themes or other events in a school setting. Check out activities outside of school.

Materials List for Workshops
The venue supplies materials for the above curriculum which can include the following for a 9 week session:
- Introduction by demonstration
Materials : Construction paper markers (optional glue and yarn)
- Storytelling & Puppet techniques
Materials: One sock per child, Markers (Natalee has a few socks)
- Storytelling with emphasis on settings
Materials: 8.5" by 11" light weight card stock cut in half with two hole punches at top, yarn, glue sticks, crayons.
- Storytelling and Story Parts ( Beginning Middle, End )
Materials: Straws or popsicle sticks, tape, zerox available for coping
- Stick puppets (voice discovery)
Materials: Paper cups, straws, staples or tape
- Rhymes and Puppets
Materials: or envelopes for puppet making
- Rhymes & Dramatizing
Materials: opt. Dress up clothes

Materials: Varied according to area reviewed.

Pricing and Information
Popular once a month or regular activity for Pre-schools: Storytelling for 35-45 min, $45, any size group. Handouts included. Optional bonus of making simple paper puppets.
Rates adjustable up and down depending on distance. Elementary assemblies half day $250. Please Contact Us to schedule a visit or request more information.

Qualification & Experience
Natalee is a three-time holder of the Child Development Associates (CDA) credential.
She has participated in the Albuquerque Academy Summer Session
teaching or telling stories from 1995 – 2002. She has performed
and taught at many Albuquerque Public Schools and also given
several workshops to schoolteachers
as well.
Stories and More workshops provide
certificates, handouts, or follow-up activities. Puppets can
provide language and speech support.
